Yesterday I met with Ian Byrne from 3Dify at BOXPARK Shoreditch to get scanned and allow me to start creating Mini Me’s (to use as business cards instead of Moo Luxe :).
I stood on a 1 metre diameter platform which rotated 360 degrees 5 times to allow a high resolution scanner to map bands of my surface area. It was interesting to watch the rendering software completing the real <grunt> work for a robot printer to output.
I wholly appreciate that this was a bit of fun but the speed and sensational accuracy potential for prototyping was amazing – just can’t wait for my Mini Me’s to arrive :)
